Lumino to support Small Satellite Quantum Secure Communications development for Toshiba
Lumino Technologies, an SME specialising in free-space optical and quantum communications, is to support Toshiba Europe in the delivery of a new small satellite quantum secure project supported by the UK Space Agency under its National Space Innovation Programme.
The project will focus on space-qualifying critical quantum optoelectric components and integrating them into a UK-developed secure quantum communication systems for small satellites. The project is led by Toshiba and involves Heriot Watt University and Cambridge University as research partners.
Lumino Technologies will deliver engineering services to support Toshiba’s delivery, leveraging its team’s deep expertise and background in satellite systems and quantum secure communications.
